MSA, a.s. has commenced work on a major contract for a new measuring station project in North Africa. The scope of the supply comprises a total of 44 ball valves fitted with AUMA electric actuators.

In July, MSA took part in a major event – the Nuclear Power Plants Expo & Summit (NPPES) in Turkey.

In logistics, and particularly in the field of hazardous substances, there is currently an increasing emphasis on safety, quality and sustainability. RKL Opava holds the prestigious SQAS (Safety & Quality Assessment System) certification.

From 26 to 28 May 2025, the MSA site hosted a large-scale tactical exercise by the Czech Fire and Rescue Service entitled ‘High-Rise Building Fire’.

On the first day of May, Opava was filled with love, colour, music and a positive atmosphere – the Festival Z Lásky took place in the City Gardens, bringing inspiration, openness and connections across generations. This year, RKL Opava joined the partners of this exceptional event.

On Tuesday 15 April 2025, we took part in the ‘Engineers for Engineers’ event, organised annually by the Technical Secondary School in Opava. This event is designed to bring together students of technical disciplines with companies from the region, giving young engineering talents the opportunity to get to know their future employers.

MSA has successfully completed the delivery of 10 DN600 and DN700 PN63 wedge gate valves for Unit 1 of the Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant, which is being built on the southern coast of Turkey and is the country’s first ever nuclear power plant.

In Kielce, Poland, we took part in the international Expo-Gas 2025 trade fair, which focuses on the gas industry, energy and technical solutions for infrastructure. The exhibition exceeded our expectations – it confirmed that there is still considerable interest in MSA valves on the Polish market.

MSA a.s., a leading manufacturer of industrial valves based in Dolní Benešov, has successfully completed an order for NET4GAS, s.r.o., a key player in the natural gas transmission sector in the Czech Republic. Supply of specialised valves As part of the project, a DN800 (32”) ball valve with a pressure rating of PN100 (Class 600) was supplied for the compressor station in Kralice nad Oslavou. This above-ground weld-on ball valve was manufactured in accordance with API 6D and specially adapted for a medium containing 10% hydrogen (H₂). To ensure the valve met the customer’s specific requirements, it was also tested in accordance with ISO 15848-2, which guarantees low emissions and appropriate functionality in hydrogen-containing environments. In May last year, we installed solar panels on the roofs of our RKL Opava site. After around nine months of full operation, we are pleased to report the following positive results: - 143 MWh of clean energy generated - 57,000 kg of CO₂ emissions reduced - equivalent to 1,692 trees planted In these times of ever-rising energy prices and a focus on sustainable sources, we wanted to take a step towards a greener and more self-sufficient future. And our results confirm that this was a step in the right direction. Alongside cost savings, raising awareness of sustainability is also important to us. Photovoltaic panels bring not only financial savings but also a visible impact in the form of a lower carbon footprint – and that is a significant competitive advantage today. We believe that energy self-sufficiency and environmental responsibility go hand in hand with modern business.
